The area provides you with the possibility of exploring woodland, going for quiet walks in the country or visiting sheer cliffs. If you decide to visit the lighthouse, or climb mountains like S’Àguila, Es Telègraf and Sa Coma des Guesxell, you will be struck by the lovely panoramic views.
A must visit are the caves of Artà, situated in Canyamel and discovered by the French geologist Martell in 1876.
You can also enjoy monuments in an excellent state of preservation or restoration if you decide to visit Castell de Capdepera castle, the Torre de Canyamel tower and the various Talayotic excavations spread over the area.
Other places that will make your visit a more enriching experience are the Artà and Almudaina Museum or the Sant Salvador Sanctuary, a defensive complex of Muslim origin.
