[Ciclying]

Majorca has a long cycling tradition, with the first velocipede races already being held by the end of the 19th century, with the first Tour of Majorca taking place soon afterwards (1913).

The important cyclists that have sprung from this "Land of Cyclists" are a demonstration of this deep-rooted tradition. For road cycling, Majorca has a network of 1,250 km of roads and rural byways, with an average width of 6.5 metres, many of which have long stretches with very little traffic.
